Career Guidance and Job Placement
November 20, 2025
More and more high school girls are choosing science and technology fields, and Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering is very much a part of that trend. At IUT1, Anaëlle Jourdain, a student in BUT , embodies this new generation that is challenging stereotypes about careers in mechanical engineering.
Passionate about design and drawn to hands-on projects, Anaëlle chose the BUT program to develop strong technical skills while staying closely connected to the field. Today, she is thriving in her career, thanks to a diverse educational background where technical projects and teamwork are at the heart of her daily work.
Through her story, she wants to show that there is no “typical profile” in the field of mechanics—and, above all, that girls have every right to be there.
