June 30, 2025Saint-Martin-d'Hères - Amphidice
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Amphidice was packed to capacity for the 6th edition of the Multimédi’Alpes festival, now a must-attend event for the MMI (Multimedia and Internet Professions) department at IUT1. The event aims to highlight students’ creative talents and showcase the diversity of their skills: web design, graphic design, audiovisual production, sound, communication, storytelling… all fields in which they have the opportunity to express themselves throughout their academic journey.

A festival focused on future career opportunities

Originally a student-led initiative, the festival has gradually expanded to include all majors in the BUT. This year, the event is taking a new step forward with a jury composed of both teachers and industry professionals, who have come to witness the students’ skills firsthand. The goal is clear: to provide students with their first opportunity to showcase their work to the public, boost their self-confidence, and help them transition into the professional world.

A record turnout

The 2025 edition broke all records with 183 projects submitted, compared to 132 the previous year. Ten categories were open this year, with a small change: the introduction of a "narrative" category, which allows students to express themselves through poems, essays, or speeches. This is also the first time that the highly anticipated People’s Choice Award has been renamed the Laurent Lelong Award, in tribute to a prominent figure in the department’s history. The patron of this year’s event, Thibault Leduc, editor-in-chief of TéléGrenoble, presented the award.
