MT2E Career and Business Fair: A Highlight for Career Development
January 28, 2026
On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the MT2E Department (Energy Transition and Efficiency) at IUT1 Grenoble hosted its Career and Business Forum, an event that has become an essential opportunity to help students shape their career paths.
Presentations
The morning began with a series of presentations, during which several partner companies came to introduce their activities, their areas of expertise, and, above all, the career paths available to MT2E students in the construction and industrial sectors. These brief, focused presentations helped students better understand the wide range of career opportunities related to the energy transition and energy efficiency challenges.
Exchanges
The second half of the morning took the form of a forum, encouraging direct interaction between students and professionals. Armed with their résumés, the students were able to talk freely with recruiters and ask questions about career paths, required skills, and the terms of internships or work-study programs.
For first-year BUT students, this forum was a key step in their search for a two-week work placement (January 26–February 2, 2026), designed to provide hands-on experience with careers in the energy transition.
Second-year students, for their part, were able to prepare for their 10-week internship (March 28 to June 12, 2026), designed to put into practice concepts related to system sizing, energy optimization, and the operation and maintenance of facilities.
In addition to internship opportunities, there was also extensive discussion about work-study programs for the 2nd and 3rde year of BUT. This forum thus fully embodies the mission of IUT1: to bridge the gap between education and the professional world, and to support students in successfully entering rapidly evolving sectors at the heart of energy and environmental challenges.
