March 19, 2026 – March 20, 2026Saint-Martin-d'Hères - University Campus
On March 19 and 20, 2026, IUT1 hosted the national conference of the Assembly of Department Chairs (ACD) for Networks and Telecommunications (RT). Over the course of two days, faculty members and academic administrators from across France gathered to discuss developments in the Bachelor of University Technology (BUT) in Networks and Telecommunications and to share their experiences.
Organized by the RT Department at IUT1, this national conference provided an opportunity to address several key issues in education: changes to curriculum standards, feedback on the implementation of the BUT 2022, and future directions for teaching.
Two days of discussions for the RT community
The first day began with a plenary session, which featured opening remarks by Jean-Luc Reboud, director of IUT1. Participants then discussed various key issues related to the program, including the progress of the RNCP profiles and updates on theADIUT and feedback on several initiatives carried out within the RT network.
The afternoon was devoted to a presentation of the work carried out by the teaching groups. The subject coordinators reviewed the implementation of BUT and Telecommunications BUT and presented the planned developments in various areas: networks, cybersecurity, computer science, telecommunications, cloud management, English, or project management.
Work-study programs, international initiatives, and career guidance are at the center of the discussions
On Friday morning, discussions continued on several topics of current interest to the RT departments:
the reform of work-study programs and its impact on recruitment,
opportunities for internationalizing the program (including the option of taking a semester in English),
feedback from the departments on the Parcoursup campaign,
open house events.
By hosting these national conferences, IUT1 Grenoble has reaffirmed its commitment to the Networks and Telecommunications departments of France’s IUTs and its active participation in discussions regarding the evolution of university technology programs.
