A Look Back at the MT2E Career and Business Fair

Forum Career Guidance and Transition
February 6, 2025Grenoble - Downtown
On Thursday, January 30, IUT1 reaffirmed its commitment to helping its students enter the workforce by hosting a Career and Business Fair for the MT2E program. This event, designed for BUT and 2 students in the MT2E department (Energy Transition and Efficiency Professions), helped strengthen ties between the institution and companies in the sector.

A valuable opportunity for students

This forum is a key step in the students' professional development.

First-year students were able to apply for an introductory work placement (scheduled for February 17–28, 2025) in the fields of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Some have also begun the process of applying for a work-study program for their second year.

Second-year students, meanwhile, had the opportunity to meet with recruiters regarding their 10-week internship (scheduled for April 2 to June 13, 2025) to further develop their skills in design, construction, operation, and maintenance. They also had the chance to explore work-study opportunities for their third year.

MT2E Career Fair

A morning filled with lively discussion

  • 8:00–10:00 a.m.: Presentations: The invited companies presented their industries, achievements, and career opportunities tailored to the skills of MT2E students.
  • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Forum: For two hours, students had the opportunity to freely discuss their expectations regarding internships and work-study programs with professionals. An exhibition area allowed them to learn about the professions and projects of the participating companies. Five-minute video interviews were also conducted and will be released soon.
  • 12:00 p.m.: Social buffet: The morning concluded with a networking session between teachers and business representatives, thereby strengthening the ties between education and the professional world.
The 2025 edition once again demonstrated the importance of the relationship between IUT1 and its industry partners, thereby contributing to the professional development and successful transition of its students into the workforce.
