The IUT's educational programs are designed to prepare students for the workforce. The Department of Physical Measurements maintains close ties with the business community:
• The departmental council includes six industry partners
• Some of the courses are taught by professionals
• Some projects involve former students who share their professional experience with current students
• The capstone project completed at a company provides students with their first professional experience
• converting a work-study contract into a professional training contract, which allows for the early recruitment of future employees
• Our industry partners offer numerous job opportunities upon completion of the training program
• Industry support for educational initiatives through the apprenticeship tax.
