With a degree in hand, GMP students can pursue careers in any industrial sector where mechanical engineering plays a role: automotive, aerospace, energy (particularly hydroelectric power plants), healthcare, food processing, defense, hydraulics, construction… and the list goes on!
They work within specialized or cross-functional teams in industrial departments and divisions, including R&D (research and development), testing, design and tooling, process engineering, industrialization, maintenance and supervision, production planning and management, production, quality assurance and control, purchasing, sales, and after-sales service....
At IUT1 in Grenoble, we have established partnerships with more than 150 mechanical engineering companies in the Grenoble area, including ARaymond, Becton Dickinson, Caterpillar, General Electric, Schneider Electric, and others.
Our graduates can also continue their studies:
At engineering schools (INP Grenoble, INSA, Polytech, Arts et Métiers, ISAT Nevers, Mines Nancy, ENI St Etienne, etc.) for undergraduate programs or apprenticeships
In a master's program at the university
In technical-sales training programs (IDRAC, Hybria, etc.)
Internationally (numerous partnerships with foreign universities)
Our program allows students to graduate at the end of the second year with a DUT or after three years with a BUT.
