What is a Bachelor of University Technology (BUT)?
The Bachelor of University Technology (BUT) is becoming the new standard degree at IUTs. By enrolling in a BUT, students benefit from a three-year integrated curriculum that allows them to earn a bachelor’s degree without having to undergo additional admissions screening. The degree is aligned with international standards and facilitates exchanges with foreign universities.
With the BUT, IUTs are strengthening their strengths: students continue to benefit from a university-level, technology-focused education led by experienced interdisciplinary faculty teams. The curriculum continues to center on professional scenarios and work-based learning through internships or work-study programs.
What is a Professional Bachelor's Degree (LP)?
Open to holders of a DUT, BTS, or second-year bachelor’s degree, the Professional Bachelor’s Degree is a one-year specialization program that allows students from general university programs to acquire specialized professional skills.
At IUT 1 in Grenoble, students can choose from two Professional Bachelor’s degree tracks.
The program lasts one year. It is designed in close partnership with companies and industry professionals.
Supervised projects and internships play a key role in the curriculum and promote career integration. More than a third of graduates are hired following their internship!
Almost all programs are available through work-study arrangements under an employment contract (apprenticeship or professional training contract). Learn more about work-study programs
