An English-language video contest is back for BUT3 RT students

Student Challenge Educational Innovation
July 2, 2026
On June 25, 2026, following the internship presentations by first-year BUT3 students, the Networks and Telecommunications Department at IUT1 held its annual mini-video contest in English.

A Renewed Educational Initiative

Launched last year, this educational initiative invites third-year students to present, in English, a project they have carried out as part of their studies. The exercise helps students develop their language skills, public speaking abilities, ability to synthesize information, and ability to present technical content in a context similar to the professional world.

Developing Professional English Skills

As in the previous edition, the performances were evaluated based on several criteria: clarity of spoken expression, quality of the content presented, structure of the presentation, and originality of the staging.
This event also serves as an opportunity to highlight the work students have done throughout their studies in BUT and Telecommunications, a few days before the end of their program at IUT1.

The Winners of the 2026 Edition

For this year's edition, the jury honored:
Adrien, Antoine, and François - RapidTradeCo

A Year-End Focused on Projects

This mini-contest wraps up the BUT3 RT program’s academic year by highlighting project-based learning, business English, and the communication skills of the future graduates.
Through this exercise, students demonstrate their ability to present technical content in a clear, structured, and accessible manner—a skill that is essential in the fields of networking, telecommunications, and digital technology.
