On this day dedicated to highlighting the role of women in society, IUT1 would like to remind everyone that science and technology programs are open to all. While female students remain in the minority in certain fields, their numbers are gradually increasing, reflecting a positive trend toward greater gender diversity.
An encouraging trend
With nearly 450 female students enrolled*, several departments are showing encouraging trends, particularly in Chemistry and Multimedia and Internet Studies, where the proportion of women is equal to or even exceeds that of men, although there is still significant room for improvement in certain fields. This situation can be explained in part by career choices that are influenced as early as high school.
Many opportunities
However, science and technology programs offer a wide range of career paths and numerous professional opportunities. Companies are actively seeking a diverse pool of talent, and female students who pursue these fields are thriving.
IUT1 is committed to fostering an environment conducive to success for everyone. The courses, facilities, and support services we offer enable every student to thrive under the best possible conditions. Our students attest to their successful integration and the educational experience they have had at IUT1.
Science and technology programs are promising career paths open to everyone. IUT1 welcomes and supports every female student in her professional and personal goals. The gradual increase in gender diversity shows that things are changing, and we hope to see even more young women join our programs in the years to come.
