IUT1 promotes innovative teaching methods by offering its students hands-on experiences directly linked to the business world, starting from the very beginning of their program. As part of this initiative, first-year students in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing (GEII) recently visited Teledyne e2v, a company specializing in semiconductors and image sensors, located in Saint-Égrève.
This immersive experience allowed students to discover an exceptional work environment and gain a better understanding of the demands of their future professional field. During the visit, the students interacted with engineers and technicians from Teledyne e2v, who gave them a tour of the facilities and explained the production processes for high-performance components used in a variety of markets, including aerospace, defense, medical, industrial, and scientific. The students were thus able to gain insight into the challenges and innovations at the heart of Teledyne e2v’s business, whose expertise ranges from advanced semiconductors to high-reliability testing services.
