Communications technologies are now ubiquitous: there are more cell phones than people, the Internet has become an indispensable global network, and Wi-Fi networks are proliferating.
The Networks and Telecommunications Department offers training programs that align with the evolving landscape of careers in the digital communications sector (including information systems and network administration, telecommunications systems operations, and web technologies) and serve a wide range of industries (telecommunications operators, corporate networks, IT service providers, and more).
As a result, telecommunications students learn how communication occurs within networks, how information is exchanged between computers, and what physical principles are involved. A significant portion of their curriculum is devoted to studying the structure and organization of fixed and mobile networks, as well as their IT components.
