CNMS students experiences : Piotr

Piotr, from Poland

CNMS student at IUT1 Grenoble

What all mandatory documents did the University require from you?
At least these ones:

  • Copy of your passport or identity card
  • Three passport type photos
  • Copy of your student card from your home university
  • Copy of your birth certificate
  • Copy of your European Health Insurance Card
  • Certificate of enrolment
  • Agreement with your university
  • Transcript of records

How and where did you get all your documents (e.g. Visa, Insurance, Certificates), could you named some places?
I got most of all documents in Poland. So most of them were from Dean's office and international office. Of course I needed signatures of coordinator, Dean and some other proofs. I got insurance in Krakow medical headquater and I bought my private to have in case. How? I just had to go to an office, ask, explain and wait for them.

How long did your process take to get all requirements for university?

About 30-45 days, usually not very intensive.

Did you feel your process was somehow difficult or complicated?
Yes, a little bit. The main problems were that different people said different things (what is needed or how to get it). And sometimes it was diffucult to find someone to get signature or something else. And still it was a lot of paperworks and a lot to do.

Could you tell a couple of words about fees, and useful tips for next years CNMS students?
For sure it is worth to have your own insurance (translated to English or French). It will make that you don't have to buy French one.
Do not be afraid, because most of people will help you if you will have troubles or difficulties with practical or administrative things.
